FO: Granito Sweater

I’m so thrilled with my finished Granito Sweater! Once again, a 4ply garment has taken me around a year from start to finish, in amongst a LOT of work knitting and smaller pieces. At this point in my life I’m pretty happy with that. It would be easy to feel like I wasn’t making progress and that it would never be finished, but in reality – when I was working on it – it flew along.

On the Subject of Emergency Knitting...

Isn’t it funny how things sometimes happen in an order such that it feels like it was somehow pre-destined? Last week I blogged about how much I had missed having a simple sock project in my handbag, and how important it is for me to always have some knitting to hand.

On a wet Thursday...

The weather here in Frome is miserable. It’s pouring with rain and grey as anything. I’m hoping against hope that it will clear up next week for the school holidays, or we will go stir-crazy playing endless board games and looking out the window.

I’ve not blogged about what I’ve been knitting for a while, so this is a quick run-down post.

That was fun! Shall we do it again?

Happy New Year!

The kids are back at school, and we have found our way to the office and dusted off the computers, ready to knock this year out of the park! Or something like that…

It’s knitting up like a dream and I’m even daydreaming that I might finish it to wear at EYF in March. But that might be a bit over optimistic… We will see!

Dearest blog readers,

Please accept my humblest apologies for my choice of knitting projects. I appear to be working only on projects that consist of endless stocking stitch. There won't be much excitement to report for weeks to come, as I plough through the bodies of not one but two fairly plain, 4ply, adult garments. I shall endeavour not to post endless photos of incremental changes in the length of the stocking stitch bodies that I'm knitting on, but at the same time, would welcome encouragement to stick with my knitting, as it will all be worth it in the end.

Some knitting for fun, and a hiccup

It was probably inevitable, but because I finally have time to knit for me, I've got over-excited and my RSI has flared up. It has left me feeling rather glum, as knitting is my main self-care activity, and I'm a bit at sea as to how to recharge myself without it. I haven't had any significant RSI since we became parents (mostly because my knitting time was cut so drastically), so I think I shall have to find some complex, subtitled, Scandinavian dramas on Netflix that I would normally struggle to knit and watch at the same time!

In the meantime, here's what I got up to...
